Who is responsible

Ahmed Abdel Aal, who runs the site on behalf of the author's heirs, is the controller and the person responsible for the protection of personal information, including under Quebec's Law 25. Contact: [email protected].

What happens to your data

• Hosting: GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) hosts the site and requests pass through Cloudflare, Inc. Both see your IP address and request details in order to deliver and protect the pages (legitimate interests, GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). We do not receive or keep these logs. Both providers are in the United States and rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses for transfers from the EU and UK.
• On your device only: your browser keeps your choices (language, theme, text size, reading mode and the last page you read) in local storage. They are never sent to us, and they are strictly necessary for features you use, so no consent banner is needed. Fonts are served from this site, so no font service is contacted.
• Email: if you write to us, we receive your address and message and use them only to answer you, and delete them on request.
• GitHub: the “Report a typo” and “Tell us about a book” links open a page on GitHub; anything you post there is public and governed by GitHub's terms.

Because we do not track you, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are treated as already honoured. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those words are used in California law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to know, access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, and receive a copy, under laws including Canada's PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25, the EU and UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act and other U.S. state laws. Write to the address above; we answer within 30 days. You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information, your EU data protection authority, the UK ICO or the California Privacy Protection Agency.

Children

We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
